I am beyond honored to accept the Joan Meier Founders Award. This honor was presented to me at Oxon Run Park in Washington, DC. On Sunday, October 17th we enjoyed a beautiful day of tree planting and honoring the work that is being done to stop the crominalization of Domestic Violence Survivors!
The former Lieutenant Governor and now the first Woman Governor of New York State Kathy Hochul promising me at the Womens Justice Agenda Meeting in NYC that we will get our bill passed! Just a couple of Months later, on May 14, 2019 then Governor Cuomo signed the Domestic Violence Survivors Justice Act into LAW!!
